My name is Josephine Moore, a nurse practitioner with 29 years of experience in healthcare. My family and I have lived in Montgomery County, Maryland for almost 16 years. Our family-owned practice started in 2014 as a mobile concierge service with a primary focus on IV hydration and aesthetics. Due to locum tenens work throughout the United States helping patients in rural and underserved regions, we chose not to expand until we were more focused. Our first brick and mortar location was in Chevy Chase, MD. We relocated to our current clinic at Montrose Professional Park in 2018. As one the pioneers of mobile concierge medicine in the DMV, we have continued to provide those services that the community has grown to love.
So, 29 years is a lot of ground to cover. We'll now review my professional background by specialty instead of a traditional chronological transition.
Clewiston High School (Clewiston, FL): CNA - 1993
Erwin Technical College (Tampa, FL): LPN - 2000
Polk State College (Winter Haven, FL): RN - 2005

Emergency Medicine/Acute Care
My nursing career started in the intensive care units (ICU's) and emergency departments (ED's) of Florida many moons ago (1993) as a travel nurse. That knowledge was capitalized upon when I transitioned to a nurse practitioner (NP) circa 2012 at Providence Hospital in DC. During my time at this hospital I worked with the hospitalist (acute care) and the emergency medicine team. I always tell people, "I was born and raised here". Eagerness to learn took me on many adventures throughout the Midwest and Northeast region of the United States. There were several locum assignments at Indian Health Services in emergency medicine between 2013-2021. The assignment at IHS in Crownpoint, New Mexico (12/2020-3/2021), is where I took care of covid patients in the emergency department and performed drive-thru covid testing. My most loved emergency medicine assignment was at Thedacare in Waupaca, WI in 2016. The people were wonderful and the town was awesome. My favorite acute care position was Union Memorial in Baltimore, MD from 2014-2015. The nurses and the patient population were so super easy to work with. From 8/2021 to 12/2021, I had the pleasure of working as a hospitalist at Capital Region Medical Center (CAPMC), formerly known as Prince George's Community Hospital located in Largo, MD. CAPMC is my current hospital affiliation.
Emergency medicine, and my law enforcement training from the 90's taught me how to be calm under almost all circumstances, and to rapidly and efficiently meet my patients' needs during a time of mental crisis or acute illness. This specialty also gave me the opportunity to work with a wide array of medical conditions across the age continuum.
Occupational Medicine
From 2014-2021, I worked as an "on-call" contractor with one of the largest occupational medicine chains in the United States. During this time I learned the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). CFR rules govern Department of Transportation (DOT) drug testing and DOT physicals. I also learned a great deal about the nuances of getting drivers approved for their driver certification. Unfortunately, there are times when those same rules impose a disqualification on a driver for a number of reasons that are publicly disclosed on the Department of Transportation's website.
Employment services require a specialized skill to shift people throughout the workforce with grace and intention. That includes screening candidate's readiness for the workforce after injuries, illness, and FMLA. My clinic has performed employment testing services for countless medical professionals, warehouse workers, medical students, law enforcement, truck drivers, and engineering professionals since 2018.
Aesthetics
From 2014-2022, my practice has seen lots of growth with a cult following of people who love botox, chemical peels, microneedling and vampire facials, dermaplaning, and medical-grade skin products. During this time I have performed many procedures, and administered injectables (botox, fillers, and others) on friends, patients and colleagues who trust my skill and attention to detail.
IV Hydration
29 years of managing electrolytes in patients via various settings turns out to be a great resource. It was very useful to know how these deficiencies manifest as physical symptoms (fatigue, palpitations, nausea, vomiting, weakness, etc.) and adversely affect the human body. Once we have determined that your condition does not need to be treated in a higher acuity setting, we can proceed with supplementation to help you feel energized and refreshed. We have provided comprehensive IV hydration services throughout the DMV for migraines, hangovers, post workout, beauty enhancement, and other medical conditions. Many patients have enjoyed our services in their homes, private offices, hotels, and our clinic over the years.
Telehealth
Throughout the years, I have worked in factories such as, Lykes Meat Group, Inc. in Plant City, FL. There were also a lot of shifts spent at numerous nursing homes, hospitals, inpatient and outpatient psychiatric facilities, power plants, and private estates. It never felt like work because I truly love what I do and enjoy working with patients, broadening my skills and diversifying the implementation of care delivery. These experiences accompanied by world travel have made me accustomed to speaking with anyone about anything, when it's convenient for them. The next logical step was to incorporate telemedicine into my practice. The pandemic made it almost impossible for vulnerable populations to make it to appointments. Commuting to each patient became stressful since the demand was higher than the supply. Many of my patients now take advantage of virtual care for many services (medical marijuana, UTI, sinus infection, bronchitis, prescription refills, and other) that were previously handled during face-to-face visits.
Thanks to everyone for reading along :). The bio is a work in progress. It will grow as I remember the wonderful places and people I've met over the past 29 years. I could've just posted my 5 page CV but how flat is that? Stay tuned for updates.
